The weekly video sessions

In the weekly online video conference, your teacher will review the week’s topics and assignments, and you and your classmates will be given live exercises to perform via webcam. You will also be able to ask questions out loud or via chat.

Developing oral skills in a foreign language is best done in face-to-face environments. Therefore, we stress the importance of you and your classmates meeting up online once a week for collaborative assignments to practice your pronunciation and conversation.

There will be the possibility to stream the sessions if you can't attend. We recommend that you participate in the weekly online session to get the most out of the online course.

A clear curriculum and learning goals

Our online course is offered at almost all levels and all course units are based on CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Your teacher will design a curriculum based on the language skills to be learned at your level.

Along the way, the teacher will adapt the instruction to you and your classmates, keeping in mind the overall learning goals. This ensures that everything covered in the course is relevant and that you achieve the desired skill level.

Upon completion of an online Danish course unit – with the required attendance and achievement of the defined goals – you will receive a diploma indicative of the course and level that you have participated in.

Requirements for online Danish course participants

An online course is not an easy solution. It is convenient to be able to participate in instruction no matter where you are, but it requires that you take responsibility for your own learning. You must participate consistently in the instruction sessions and devote sufficient time to self-studies.

Participating in an intensive online Danish course requires that you:

  • Have a headset, a good computer with a webcam, and a stable internet connection.
  • Participate in the weekly video conference.
  • Spend at least 2 - 5 hours a week – and preferably more – on self-studies via our online universe.
  • Turn in assignments on time.

In return, you can expect to learn Danish quickly and effectively – and to use your Danish in practice with your online classmates.

If you lack the required IT skills or the discipline to complete an online course, we can always offer you a standard Danish course with one weekly classroom sessions at Copenhagen Language Center.

Our classes are:

  • Without deposit and voucher scheme and with no limited timeframe to learn Danish
  • With flexibility to take breaks between units and shift between course types as it suits your schedule and work situation
  • Available to everyone with good familiarity with English and at least 12 years of schooling.
  • Tailored to your needs instead of being aimed at passing centralized module tests

It’s quite natural for me to study online and it suits my lifestyle. Everyone with a busy life full of ever-changing working hours knows how hard it can be to attend school two or three times a week.

I love learning Danish online because I can choose when to do my homework and assignments.
