Personalized Danish instruction allows you to define your own learning goals. The form and content of the instruction is planned in cooperation with your instructor, and the sessions are scheduled to fit into your calendar. You can decide between scheduling sessions with your instructor at the same time and on the same day of the week, or a more flexible course where each session is scheduled on an individual basis.
This personalized course allows you to choose topics or bring materials so that the instruction reflects your everyday life and your needs.
Special benefits of individual instruction:
In addition to your personalized instruction, you will also have access to our online universe of learning materials. Here you will find extra materials to use when you have the time and energy. This is one more key to ensuring rapid progress.
In our online universe, you’ll find:
Excellent course that perfectly matched my needs. It exceeded my expectations in many respects. I have not only improved at Danish, but I’ve also improved my understanding of Denmark’s working culture, including communication in the workplace.
You choose 8, 16, or 24 lessons of individual instruction and complete your order online. Once we receive your order, we’ll contact you to get a good understanding of your current Danish skills, your linguistic needs and wishes, and your expectations for the course.
Based on this preliminary conversation, we match you with the instructor whose expertise best matches your learning style and goals. All of our instructors combine professional expertise with the dedication and enthusiasm it takes to help students succeed in learning Danish as a second language.
Your instructor will contact you to schedule the dates and times of your lessons. If you already know that you want the lessons on certain days and at specific times, you and your instructor can plan the entire course or a portion thereof.
It’s up to you whether you want to schedule all of the sessions from the very start, or if you want a flexible process where each session is scheduled individually. Each session must have a minimum of two lessons. You can postpone a scheduled session by contacting your instructor with at least 72 hours notice.
We start the first lesson with a thorough analysis of your needs, and together we define a series of personal learning goals. The learning goals provide a clear understanding of what you will be capable of when the course is completed.
Based on the learning goals, your instructor designs a clear learning plan for the course and presents it for your approval. The plan details the instructor’s approach and reflects a professional assessment of the best methods to achieve your goals. Throughout the course, you will receive feedback designed to ensure your continued and rapid progress.
About halfway through the course, your instructor will ask you to evaluate the course so far. If new needs have arisen or you would like to make some changes, the learning plan is updated.
Prior to your final session, your instructor will prepare a final report with recommendations for you. Together you will discuss your results, and you will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
At the end of the course, you will receive an evaluation by e-mail, in which we ask you to rate the overall course and to provide feedback for your instructor.
We also send you a certificate of course completion, which includes reference to the CEFR language skills, making your abilities clear to potential employers, educational institutions, etc.
