Connecting friends
We like to keep it social at Copenhagen Language Center, and this is how our idea for monthly social dinners came to life. We have organized Connecting Friends for several years now and our students simply love it.
It’s a great occasion to socialize with your fellow classmates outside the classroom, play games and enjoy a great meal (100% made with love). The dinners are organized by volunteer students, who spice up the food with their own cultural nuances.

Thematic social dinners
We love diversity and that our students come from all over the world. So, in 2016 we introduced thematic dinners, where the students cook and share the stories of their traditional dishes. ‘Spændende’… or what? In 2016 we have tasted food from 5 continents.
Our super secret international cuisine checklist shows that our tummies have traveled quite a lot last year: Romania, Bulgaria, Italy, India, South America, China, Iran, Us and Australia.

Danish Christmas dinner
For the last Connecting Friends dinner of 2016, we have decided to come back to Denmark and organize a traditional Danish 'julefrokost'.
The main dish was of course flæskesteg (pork roast) with brunede kartofler (caramelized potatoes) and rødkål (pickled red cabbage). For desert we had the classic Danish Christmas delights: æbleskiver with jam and ris a la mande with hot cherry sauce.
